The webinar which i attended was titled "Tuning into Kids - Parents Teaching Emotional Intelligence" presented by Yvette Vignando. I preferred this webinar because it highlights the most important issues in every parents' life such as the relation with their children, the right and ideal way in dealing with children, some methods to solve our problems, how to manage our feelings and also the importance of encouraging our kids to express their emotions and feelings, work and push kids to interact in social situations, how to manage our reactions avoiding anger and violence, etc. So this webinar showed us the necessity to be aware with our relation with kids because they are sensible, they need support and help and sometimes they can not decide and feel disappointed. childhood is a very important period to help children build a strong personality and start thinking in a smart way. In addition for the help that this webinar gave to all teacher that work with kids because education affect the kid's personality a lot. For that reason i believed that we should work hard to know more and more how to live happy with our kids that always need our care.

You chose a fruitful topic Naima. It is very interesting to know how to deal with our children, how to start teaching them with an appropriate manner that meets their level of thinking, and not by forcing them to attain things beyond their level, which in turn lead them to be frustrated from the idea of learning in general. Actually both, young and old people need a healthy environment to learn. As parents, our role is to create and provide this peaceful and healthy environment to our children, thus they learn independently of any emotional or physical distractions.
ReplyDeleteThat webinar sounds appealing to my interests. Parents’, as well as teachers’, main concern should be the child and how to scaffold him to make him experience success, and thus, be an independent being that believes in his abilities and can depend on his self to function successfully in his life journey. Unfortunately, some parents and teachers lack knowledge of their main responsibility towards children; an issue that I have witnessed every time I go out and socialize. I really feel sorry for them, and I try to highlight that some care, security, love, respect and help should be provided, but I don’t know how stimulating and intriguing my pieces of advice are. I am praying for a day in which we all realize the significance of what is it to raise a child and what falls under the umbrella of this concept long before deciding to bring them to existence.

Interesting topic .. we can look at it from many sides such as the teachers side.. Many teachers sadly use words or react in ways that hurt the children and rarely treat students as their children but as receptors only.. I believe that teachers must be treating their students as their children in a passionate way to help them build a strong character and be more motivated

As you said, childhood is a very sensitive period thats why we should be really careful in dealing with our children, our relationship with our children must be one of our primary concerns, they need us to be beside them to understand them, and support them.
